A man accused of reckless driving has been sentenced to 12 months in jail.
52-year-old Richard Rosser’s reckless driving took the life of Selma Elif Turkoglu on February 9, 2017.
An investigation revealed that Rosser approached a stop bar in the road, appeared to roll through the stop, and then struck and killed the victim with his Ford F-350 as she crossed the parking lot in a marked crosswalk.
Evidence showed that Rosser was not using his phone, and neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor in the accident.
