Virginia

A Winchester man has been accused of beating a man and woman and holding them against their will.

According to police, Jackson Steckler faces charges of attempted malicious wounding, destruction of property, and two counts each of abduction and phone call obstruction. Officers responded to an apartment in the 500 block of North Loudoun street and encountered a man and woman who were both visibly injured.

The victims explained to officers that Steckler physically assaulted them, threatened to kill them, and refused to  allow them to leave the apartment while brandishing a kitchen knife. Steckler is being held without bond at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center
