The Winchester Kiwanis held their semi-annual community pancake day which served over 6,000 people.
All of the money raised, goes back into the community. There is one major beneficiary that receives 15 percent of the profit while the rest is divided among other local, non-profits.
“A lot of the purchases of tickets are by people who hand them out. For instance, in my case I buy 70 tickets and then I’ll turn around and the Winchester House, which is elderly people,” explained William Nordman, Winchester Kiwanis Pancake Day Chairman.
Organizers anticipate that they will raise about $40,000 from the event.
