Largest American Legion Post in the Commonwealth holds “Veterans Town Hall”

American Legion Post 176, the largest American Legion Post in the Commonwealth, hosted a panel discussion on Monday, November 12. 

Veterans were able to pepper local politicians, such as Senator George Barker, and Delegates Kathy Tran and Vivian Watts, with questions.

Virginia Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs, Carlos Hopkins, and Carrie Ann Alford, policy director for the Virginia Department of Veterans Services were also on hand, to answer questions.

“They’re busy folks, and I’m certainly happy to see them here, answering questions.” said Earle Mitchell at the Springfield, Virginia town hall. 

Mitchell, who serviced in the U.S. Navy for 28 years, asked about the transition to “real ID’s.
