Johnson pleads guilty to 2017 homicide

ARLINGTON, Va. - According to Arlington County police, 39-year-old Jason Allen Johnson plead guilty to second degree murder for the February 2017 homicide of Michael Gray.

At around 3:00 in the morning on February 19, 2017, ACPD responded to a report of shots fired on teh 6300 block of N. 29th St. The 23-year-old victim was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he died of his injuries. 

After being charged, Johnson fled the area and was found in Manhattan in October. 

"We are grateful to be announcing that this violent criminal is going to be off the streets for a significant amount of time," said Communications Specialist Kirby Clark. 

Johnson also plead guilty to the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and to violent felon in possession of a firearm.
