A Honduran man is facing deportation after allegedly entering the United States unlawfully.

Alvaro Bustillo-Maldonado, 35, of Honduras, was arrested on November 7 by Warren County Sheriff’s deputies while in court for probation violation.

Bustillo-Maldonado had previously lived in the Winchester and Fairfax areas and was initially deported in 2013 after being arrested by law enforcement in Fairfax.

Prior to that, he was convicted in 2012 on several charges, including reckless driving and driving while impaired in Warren County. He was placed on probation after passing an alcohol safety program, but violated his probation, landing him back in court in November 2019.

According to Warren County Sheriff’s Lt. Charles Bockey, deputies were contact by the Department of Homeland Security that Bustillo-Maldonado was wanted on immigration charges.

Bockey says Bustillo-Maldonado was arrested without incident at the Warren County court house and taken to the Rappahanock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail.

He was transferred to federal custody and is due in court in Alexandria on December 7.
