Ground beef recalled due to possible E. Coli contamination

Virginia

Officials say ground beef is likely the cause of an E.Coli outbreak affecting hundreds of people in 10 states including Virginia.

Since April, more than 150 people have been infected with E. Coli, including two cases in Virginia. This week Georgia-based meat producer, Colorado Premium Foods, recalled approximately 113,000 pounds of raw ground beef products that may have been contaminated with E. Coli. The affected products were two 24-pound vacuum-packed packages in cardboard boxes containing raw “Ground Beef Puck” with use-thru dates from April 14 through April 30.
