Front Royal Warren County EDA elects new executive director

Virginia

The Front Royal Warren County Economic Development Authority unanimously elected Douglas Parsons as the new executive director.

Parsons will replace former director, Jennifer McDonald, who has been accused by the authority of stealing $17 million of their money along with several other defendants. Parsons currently works for the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and has served as the executive director of the Lewis County EDA for 11 years.

“I’m hoping to pull everybody together, and kind of, sharpen the focus of the organization and be sure that we’re operating as efficiently and effectively as possible,” said EDA executive director Douglas Parsons.

Parsons will begin on May 8 and the board has extended interim director, John Anzivino’s, contract through May 10.
