Former Fairfax County Public Schools substitute charged with solicitation of a minor

21-year-old Monis Irfan, a former instructional assistant and substitute teacher from Springfield, has been charged with offenses relating to the solicitation of a minor.

Fairfax County police say undercover officers communicated with Irfan on a social networking site. 

Irfan was arrested upon meeting the detective and was charged with two counts of solicitation of a minor, one count of attempted human trafficking, and one count of attempted forcible sodomy. 

Police say Irfan worked at Bush Hill Elementary School in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County.
