The trial of a former youth basketball coach accused of soliciting sex from an underage girl began Monday in Winchester, Va.

Norman Blowe, Jr., 48, was charged in November with soliciting sex from a player, then 17, as well as possessing pornographic images of the girl.

Blowe, the former owner and CEO of the now-defunct semi-professional basketball team “The Virginia Storm,” was allegedly having an affair with one of his youth players from May to October of 2017.

Prosecutors say Blowe and the victim would meet at his home on Taylor Drive in Winchester, as well as at the Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express, both in Frederick County, Va.

According to court documents, the victim sent Blowe nude photos of herself via text and the social media app Snapchat.

Blowe remains in jail without bond.
