Fairfax County Police respond to bomb threat, ask people to avoid area

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WDVM) — Officers with the Fairfax County Police are currently responding to a bomb threat in the 6800 block of Elm Street.

Police said that several nearby businesses have decided to evacuate. They ask that everyone avoid the area while officers investigate “the credibility of this threat.”

Beverly Road and Elm Street were closed following the threat, but both roads are open again as officials continue to investigate.
