Fairfax County Police looks for man assaulting women on walk paths

Virginia

The Fairfax County Police Department is looking for a man that has assaulted multiple women at walking paths in Centreville.

Over the last few weeks police have been looking for a white male in his teens to early 20’s with dark hair, wearing glasses who has assaulted women on multiple occasions.
On one instance the man ran behind a woman grabbing her from behind and running away. On another incident, the man approached another woman from behind and was asking for hugs, then pressed his body against hers and ran off. Officers want people to be mindful of certain safety tips as they go for runs.

“Be familiar with your surroundings, be aware of your surroundings. Run, walk, jog in areas that are familiar to you. If you have to do this at night, try to avoid secluded areas. Try to avoid night time activities if possible,” said Sgt. Greg Bedor, Fairfax County Police Department.

If anyone has any information on this man, you are urged to call the Fairfax County Police Department.
