Restoration is underway at Ridgeview Park, located off Ridgeview Drive and DuVawn Street in Alexandria.

The Fairfax County Park Authority is restoring approximately 2,800 linear feet of Pike Branch Tributary. This is a high priority project, due to public safety concerns, severe erosion, and exposed utility infrastructure. The park authority says public interest also contributed to the project’s priority.

The project will restore the ecological function of the stream, improve water quality, protect property and public infrastructure, and improve the overall habitat.

Active construction is expected to be complete by spring 2020.
