The driver involved in a fatal two-car accident in Woodbridge has been charged with failure to yield on a left turn, according to Prince William County police.

Police responded to the accident on December 4 around noon, at the intersection of Optiz Blvd and River Rock Way.

Investigation revealed that Nusrat Jahan Prithee, 25, was trying to make a left turn onto southbound River Rock Way from westbound Opitz Blvd, when her car collided with a another car that was traveling eastbound on Opitz Blvd.

The other driver traveling eastbound, Donald Lee Sellman, 87, was transported to an area hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries on December 6.

Prithee sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Speed, alcohol, and drug use are not factors in the collision.
