Congressional candidate, Jennifer Wexton, made an appearance in Winchester on Wednesday.
She attended the Winchester Frederick County Democratic Committee meeting, where she spoke to the group about her plans and opened up the floor for any questions. She focused on topics that affect the Frederick County area specifically as opposed to other counties in Northern Virginia. Her main points were gun safety, border control and the path to citizenship, metro and healthcare.
“They get the information from the candidate herself or from the elected herself, and this inspires confidence. It makes people feel like it’s a real person it’s someone the can reach out to. In my case, as an elected, it’s someone they can reach out to if they have an issue or a question,” said Wendy Gooditis of the Virginia House of Delegates 10th District.
Winchester and Frederick County anticipate more visits from Wexton as the November election gets closer.
