The Broken Window Brewery is celebrating their one year anniversary with beer and puppies.
The brewery closed down Boscawen Street and held a block party on Saturday. Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue brought about 25 puppies to the walking mall that were up for adoption.
If you were already pre-approved through their organization, you were able to take home a dog with you. All of their dogs are fostered which volunteers say helps better prepare them to enter the home of a new family.
“The co-founder of our organization is actually one of the owners of the brewery so it works out really that every time they have a large event, we get to come here with our puppy dogs,” said Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue volunteer Wendy Hemingway.
Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue has saved more than 860 dogs in a little over two years.
