The Warren County Board of Supervisors increased its budget for Economic Development Authority legal fees.
The deputy clerk to the board says at their June 4 regular meeting, they went into closed session to discuss accounting and debt services with legal counsel. The board decided to raise the cap on legal fees from $300,000 to $500,000. They also agreed to spend another $50,000 on accounting costs.
“This is the right thing to do. We are hoping that part of this phase is coming to a close and we are looking to receive full recovery at the end of this episode,” said Warren County Board of Supervisors chairman Daniel Murray.
The vote to approve this budget increase was unanimous across the board.
