Arlington County Police open investigation into death of 72-year-old woman

Virginia

The Arlington County Police are investigating the murder of 72-year-old Penelope Holloway.

On September 28th, 2018 police were called to Holloway’s home for a welfare check, where they found her dead. Police initially thought she died of natural causes. As a part of procedures her death was followed up by the department’s homicide unit investigation where they collected, and reviewed evidence, at that point they changed her cause of death to a homicide. The Chief Medical Examiner determined she died by a combination of smothering and mixed drug.

The Arlington County Police continues to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact the department.
