On Tuesday, The Arlington County Police Department closed out Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donating $2,000 to a clinic in Arlington.

Corporal DJ Stalter sold pink uniform patches internally and across the country to raise money for the Arlington Free Clinic’s Breast Health Outreach Program.

“We, as an agency, support breast cancer every year by wearing the pink ribbon pins or pink undershirts to show our support for breast cancer awareness, and I thought that I could go a little bit farther and give back to the community,” said Stalter.

The $8 patches went toward the uninsured and low-income patients the clinic serves. The Arlington Free Clinic runs exclusively on donations.
