Apple Blossom festival goers stay dry at Grand Feature parade

Virginia

For the 76th year, the Winchester Host Lions Club has coordinated the Apple Blossom Grand Feature Parade.

It starts in Old Town Winchester and stretches to Handley High School. Each year, awards are given to the best high school and military bands and the best floats are given awards as well. From Apple Blossom themed floats, to businesses and service organizations, several different community groups participate in the big event.

“It’s fun to watch. Every year on Saturday they have these dancers come through and they have these weird dresses and things and that’s my sister’s favorite part,” said Apple Blossom festival volunteer Emily Hunt.

Thankfully the weather held up, and it did not rain on the parade
