Visitors are one step closer to riding boats at the Conococheague Creek Aqueduct
The construction cranes are up and rolling, as the restoration project moves forward.
The project’s goal is to bring the aqueduct to its original appearance in the 1920s.
Officials said the great September weather has kept the construction in motion.
They added that once construction is complete, the Conococheague Creek Aqueduct will be the only fully-functional transportation canal aqueduct in North America.
National Park Service officials expect the restoration project to finish by January of 2019.
