Units respond to factory fire in Hagerstown

News

Nearly 100 firefighters responded to a conveyor belt fire in Hagerstown late Monday night.

Washington County dispatchers said the fire was called in just before 10:30 p.m. at Holcim (US) Inc., a cement and aggregate plant in the 1,200-block of Security Road.

Units were still on scene by the early hours of the morning, and were cleared by about 2:45 a.m.

There were no major injuries reported.
