Seven months after the shooting deaths of teenagers Shadi Najjar and Artem Ziberov, the trial has begun for one of the several men charged in their murder.
A total of four men, Jose Canales-Yanez, Edgar Garcia-Gaona, Roger Garcia and Rony Galicia, were arrested following the June 5th shooting, just one day before the two victims were supposed to graduate from Northwest High School.
Canales-Yanez is undergoing a bench trial where his future will be decided by Judge David Boynton.
The trial itself is expected to last until Wednesday.
