Three-alarm fire damages multiple homes

Firefighters were on the scene of a three-alarm fire in Charles Town early Friday morning.

According to officials, neighbors reported the blaze, which started in an abandoned structure in the 100 block of Wall Street, around 3:30 a.m. Firefighters were on scene for nearly three hours battling the fire, which spread to nearby homes, causing damage to three of them. 

No official estimate has been given for the damages, and the cause for the fire has yet to be determined. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, as neighbors were able to alert those living in the homes that were affected.
