Hagerstown paid tribute to three people whose efforts benefited the nation, state, and/or city at a Hagerstown Circle of Achievement ceremony Saturday morning.

The Circle of Achievement is an outdoor “hall of honor” designed to recognize Hagerstonians for their outstanding individual achievements benefiting the community.

During the ceremony, Ammon Kreider and Lewis Reisner were inducted.

The duo created the Kreider-Reisner aircraft company, the first permanent establishment for aircraft industry in Hagerstown.

Dr. Peter Buys was also inducted for his service as the director of the Hagerstown Municipal Band for nearly 40 years.
