In Montgomery County, County Executive Ike Leggett and U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen greeted students and gave them some helpful advice to start the school year.
Many students are coming into the school year with new goals.
“I want to encourage the little kids, because I used to be bullied, and I want to encourage them that this year’s going to be amazing,” said fifth-grader Janelle Morrison.
