Woman dead following head-on collision

A woman is dead following a head-on collision in Franklin County on Tuesday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The crash happened on Route 30 in the area of Apple Way in Saint Thomas Township around 2:20 p.m. on October 16.

A 39-year-old lady crossed the yellow line into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons and hit another car.

The driver of the first car died on scene despite life-saving efforts conducted by emergency personnel.

The driver of the car that was hit was a 66-year-old, and was taken to Meritus Medical Center with serious injuries.
