Wizarding world comes to life in Waynesboro

Thousands made it out to the second annual Wizarding Festival in Downtown Waynesboro.
The magical event had everything for an avid Harry Potter fan, including potion making, flying broom sticks and an escape room. In conjuction with the farmers market, organizers say this year, the event was located at Main Street Park, which they renamed Borough Gone Alley. To eat were bewitching treats like butter beer for wizard fans.
“My daughter and I are both fans of Harry Potter,” said Bill Kohler, Director of Economic Development for Main Street Waynesboro. “Back in 2016, I joked ‘Hey wouldn’t it be cool if we start a Wizarding festival and one thing led to another.'”
Kolher anticipates 3,000 people to take part in the celebration.
