The story of a Franklin County man and his horse is now being turned into a Hallmark movie.
The movie is called Nightmist and it is based on one of Michael Pryor’s horses, whose birth was a miracle, but that wasn’t the only miracle that inspired the new film.
Pryor was experiencing some health issues and an MRI at Hagerstown hospital revealed an aneurysm.
The aneurysm was in a spot that would have been dangerous to operate on, so there was nothing more that could have been done.
After his diagnosis, his companion Nightmist became very ill and passed away.
“I had an autopsy done and behold he died of an aneurysm. A day later I went to the doctor for an MRI and my aneurysm was gone,” Pryor said.
The first release of the movie will be in Pryor’s hometown in Waynesboro on March 9 and will be a 30-minute preview of the two-hour movie.
