The 9’th annual Scoop-A-Palooza brought ice cream lovers from all around.

With over 30 flavors and nine local area ice cream shops, families gathered at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School for a sweet treat. Scoop-A-Palooza is the all-you-can-eat ice cream festival to benefit the greater Chambersburg Chamber Foundation. This years winner was Golden Scoop. Among the favorites included flavors like “black raspberry” and “peanut butter maple bacon,” and the kids choice, “cotton candy.”

“I tried close to 20 [flavors]. I think I’m on ice cream overload,” said Amanda Hann, a Fayetville resident.

Nearly 2,000 people attended. Scoop-A-Palooza is part of a week long series of events for the Chambersbest “Catch the Spirit” celebration. For more information of the week’s festivities, check it out here
