Troopers with Maryland State Police are investigating a rollover crash that happened on Interstate-70 in Washington County on Saturday morning.
They responded to the eastbound lanes at the 28-mile marker just after 8:30 a.m. They found a 2007 Mazda 3, with the driver, Joshua Shipley, pinned inside. Rescue crews got Shipley out of the car, and took him to Meritus Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Troopers believe Shipley swerved suddenly off the road, hit an embankment and then flipped over several times. They said alcohol may have been a factor.
