Nearly 80 firefighters responded to a barn fire in Middletown, Md.
Fire Chief Brent Harne, of Middletown Vol. Fire Company says the call came in at 8:30 p.m. for a fire on the 9 thousand block of Mt. Tabor Road in Middletown, Md.
When they arrived on the scene crews encountered a large shed fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked to extinguish that fire but it spread to an adjacent large barn that contained over 3 thousand bales of hay.
They say there were over 30 units on scene from Frederick and Washington counties.
It took crews several hours to put the flames out. The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
10 tanker trucks supplied water from a nearby pond.
One firefighter was transported with unknown injuries. No animals were reported injured.
