National

UPDATE:

The White House has officially restored Acosta’s press pass, CNN reports. The letter sent by the White House also outlined specific rules, including “physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner” after asking a question or follow-up question.

The letter mentioned outlining more rules and a code of conduct later if necessary, “if unprofessional behavior occurs” during White House and press interactions.

The White House has issued a new warning to CNN’s Jim Acosta. They are threatening that his press pass can be revoked again by the end of the month.

In response, CNN is requesting an emergency hearing with the U.S. District Court.

On Friday, CNN won a temporary restraining order that forced the White House to restore Acosta’s press acces to the White House for 14 days.
