Officials with the Motor Vehicle Administration are encouraging Maryland residents to take advantage of its website’s new features, including the ability to make appointments and start driver’s license renewal paperwork online.
The surge in new online features associated with the MVA is part of its campaign called New Way to MVA.
Residents also have the option to provide their email address on the website and get reminders for things like vehicle registration and emissions tests.
“We know certainly that customers like to do services electronically,” said Chrissy Nizer, Administrator, Maryland’s MVA. “They’re used to the various internet sites that they can complete transactions that way today, and we want to provide that same convenience to our customers.”
The MVA is currently piloting a new program that allows residents to get their eyes checked in kiosks at their offices.
