Middle-schoolers create horror movie trailers just in time for Halloween

News

Middle school students got into the Halloween spirit by taking a cinematography course at Hagerstown Community College during their days off Friday.

Students were broken into groups to create their own horror movie trailers using iMovie, incorporating everything from makeup and costumes to filming and editing their own work.

Students created their 45-second projects from start to finish.

HCC has partnered with Beacon House, Inc., a STEAM educational nonprofit designed to encourage students to get hands-on more STEAM-related courses.

Beacon House, Inc. will hold another course on HCC’s campus on Nov. 4.
