WDVM wants the City of Hagerstown to advocate on the station’s behalf to Antietam Cable

Maryland

WDVM is hoping the City of Hagerstown will advocate on our behalf to Antietam Cable to put us back on their lineup.

At Tuesday’s council meeting staff from WDVM were present to show the mayor and the council that our station is committed to the community. At the end of the meeting, Lewis Metzner, a councilmember, said there is a disagreement between their attorneys and the station’s attorneys on the matter. He added the city will not pro-actively get involved. However, Andrew Wyatt, WDVM”s Vice President and General Manager wants the city to get involved.

“The city in general has an obligation and a duty here to try to keep the public safe. Our TV station does a great deal to keep this community safe,” said Wyatt.

WDVM reached out to the council for comment, but they declined.
