The Washington County Commission on Aging held their first annual fundraiser to help the Senior Center provide residents with a little bit of human touch.
The money raised will help officials continue providing many services, such as nutritional meals, rides to the doctor, obtaining dentures, glasses and hearing aids and much more.
With these services available, the Washington County Commission on Aging hopes to give a more human feel to the idea of an assisted living home.
“I believe there is an endowment, which is going to carry on to keep this wonderful facility, the services of the staff of the board of directors and Amy Olack, who’s been a marvelous leader for the Senior Center and the Commission on Aging,” said Washington County Council, Administrator, Rob Slocum.
