The University System of Maryland in Hagerstown (USMH) and the Washington County Arts Council (WCAC) are calling on local artists to submit artwork to fill the halls of a new health sciences center.
The new building is on 24 North Walnut St. in the H.W. Murphy Community Health Center. In May, the center will host a new physician assistant program offered by Frostburg State University.
USMH is reaching out to local artists to fill the bare walls of the center. And the artwork chosen will be available for purchase.
“We’re hoping to provide physician assistance to support the local healthcare workforce, and so we thought local artists were a very good fit for this center,” said Erin Harman of USMH.
Artists have until December 7 to submit their artwork.
