REACH of Washington County collects for homeless

Maryland

As we head into the winter months homeless all around the Hagerstown area will be heading indoors to the reach cold weather shelter.

While they collect all year long for jackets, boots, gloves, and sweaters — the holiday season is their biggest donation and collection effort of the year.

Community members bring all sorts of things like toiletries, snacks, and clothes to help the needy make it through another winter. Officials say the out pour of help from the community has been great since the shelter opened in October.

“It’s just an amazing out pour of compassion and genuine concern for those in our community that might be less fortunate,” said Diana Castle.

Reach of Washington County will be accepting donations of all kinds all year long. Click here for directions.
