Rare Krampus doll stolen from Hager House

Maryland

Hagerstown Parks and Recreation is looking for a rare Christmas decoration that they had on display at the Hager House for over 20 years.

The theft happened Friday night during the annual City Park lighting event, when someone took the Krampus doll out of its rocking chair during their Hager House German Christmas tours.

Officials say they have never had a Christmas item stolen before and it’s ironic that this was the first thing to ever be taken from the house based on it’s history.

“In German tradition Krampus is a mythological character that deals with the naughty children, so it’s very ironic that was the item that was taken, and we are hoping that whomever did so will bring it back, and get themselves off of the naughty list and on to the nice list before Christmas comes,” said Emily Conrad.

The Hager House German Christmas tours continue this weekend starting Friday morning, but they’ll have to do it without Krampus.
