The Feast of the Passover is part of an ancient Jewish tradition that dates back before Roman times.
The VP of the Congregation B’nai Abraham in Hagerstown said, “Passover is the celebration and ancient retelling of the story of how the Hebrew slaves escaped Egypt.”
Hagerstown Jewish locals were prepping their dinner table for Friday’s feast.
There was wine, food and everything kosher at Barbara Schwab’s house, a Jewish local. She said that it’s no easy task.
“I’m thrilled, but I’m stressed. I’m overworked. When you are finally sitting down at the table it’s like whew.” Schwab commented.
She’s stressed but thankful to be amongst friends and observe this tradition.
