Paint Branch High School evacuated after reports of smoke in the building


With students heading back into the classroom on Monday in Montgomery County, the Maryland Department of Transportation is reminding drivers of safety laws surrounding school buses.

BURTONSVILLE, Md. (WDVM) — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue officials responded to the area of 14121 Old Columbia Pike, Paint Branch High School, to reports of smoke on the first floor.

Officials say students are being evacuated from the school. No fire was detected, although a maintenance crew is working on HVAC, according to officials.
