The Mental Health Center in Hagerstown has been seeing positive results from their mobile treatment program. Mobile treatment is a community outreach program serving, families, children and adults.
Staff members that go out to meet patients say the sessions are one on one and that they transport patients to where they need to go.
Officials say, they focus on treatment plans, updating goals and more. “We help patients just reach stability and then get back to outpatient we’re having more of a turnover and we’re having more success of patients being able to transition into outpatients and then successfully maintain outpatient for medication management services and monthly therapy instead of the intensive services that we provide,” Desirae Mehaffie said, the program manager. Officials say their first group session will be held next week.
