Maryland Day celebrated state-wide

Maryland
If you didn’t know, today is a special day, it’s Maryland Day!

Yes, it is a legal holiday. According to officials, Maryland Day is celebrated on March 25th, 1634. On that day, settlers disembarked from two small sailing ships on to Maryland soil where they landed in what is now St. Mary’s County, Maryland.

Several events took place across the state. The Maryland Historical Society says it is the state’s 384th birthday.
