ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland has confirmed three more cases of coronavirus in the state for a total of nine so far.

Gov. Larry Hogan gave an update Tuesday before an emergency Cabinet meeting. He says a husband and wife in their 50s in Prince George’s County are in good condition. Later in the day, the state confirmed a woman in her 60s from Montgomery County had the virus.

Meanwhile, Maryland’s public universities were urged to prepare for students to remain off campus for at least two weeks after spring break, which begins Saturday and ends March 22 at the University of Maryland.

Chancellor Jay Perman says universities should be prepared to deliver instruction remotely.
