Local high school announces new location

Maryland

St. Maria Goretti High School has announced that it will be moving its academic classes to a new location as of the fall of 2019.

Just 1.3 miles away from its current campus, the high school plans on taking up the former Purdue University Global facility on Crestwood Drive.

This move comes as a response to the constant flooding the current campus faces. Despite moving locations, staff says that athletics will remain at their Oak Hill Avenue site.

James Sellinger, chancellor of catholic schools for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, described the
move as, “a tremendous opportunity that will enhance the level of academic excellence we are able
to provide.”

A tour of the new facility will be on May 19, and the grand opening will be held on September 3.
