Local business donates turkeys to Hagerstown community

Maryland

The Hagerstown community came together Tuesday morning for an annual turkey donation.

It was first-come, first-serve as people gathered on Summit Avenue, in Hagerstown as early as 6 a.m. in front of the Washington Community Action Council.

Approximately 200 turkeys were donated by Adam Merrbaugh, owner of  Adam’s Demolition.

Not only were residents given turkeys, but they were also surprised with 161 heads of lettuce given by Levi Sellers from South Mountain MicroFARM.

Officials from the CAC said this is a great way to give back. This is the second year of Merrbaugh donating the turkeys.
