Local animal clinic hosts clothing drive for veterans

It’s officially the season of giving — one local animal clinic is giving back to the men and women that have served our country.

The Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown is collecting new sweat pants and sweat shirts to deliver to veterans.

The clinic has been choosing a charity to give back to each month and they decided that the months of November and December would be a perfect time to do this.

All of the items collected will be taken to the veterans affairs hospital in Martinsburg.

Spokesperson for the clinic, Erin Mills, says everyone in the community is pitching in.

“Veterans are one of the most important things we have, people that have served this country, being able to support them, and give back even something as what we would consider as insignificant as clothes is a big deal,” said Erin Mills.

The Animal Health Clinic of Funkstown will be collecting new tops and bottoms until December 21.
