Jeep fire on I-70 WB leaves mother in critical condition, investigation continues

We are following the vehicle fire on I-70 WB from Thursday evening that left three people in the hospital. 

Pictured is of the Jeep Wrangler that had a mother and two children on board when it was engulfed in flames on I-70WB at the 38 mile marker near Mount Aetna.

Fire officials say the call was reported around 5:41 p.m. All three were flown to area hospitals. They say the mother, Jennifer Lauren Carmer of Walkersville is in critical condition. The condition of the two juveniles is unknown at the moment.

Officials say the estimated loss is $8,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
