How to protect your family from growing tick season

Tick season is a huge problem in Maryland and the surrounding states. Experts say, it’s only growing.

Experts say tick bites occur when the weather is 32 degrees or above. With spring in full swing, tick activity is a problem.  They say every tick is different. Not all ticks carry diseases, but experts say it’s always important to have tick repellents handy.

“Gardeners will also want to use deer repellents in the yard. They’ll also want to use tick sprays with pet safe ingredients. Plant deer resistant plants. They can plant daffodils, marigolds. Especially this time of year, and that’ll keep away the deer. The rabbits any animal that may be carrying ticks,” said Trident Enterprises Marketing/PR Manager Jennifer Smith.

Tick season starts in March and ends roughly in September.
